Ryan has enjoyed a pleasure growing up that few ever experience: living in the big city.  A New Yorker to the blood, Ryan attended Xavier High School on 16th Street in Manhattan, and then went on to graduate from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. While there, he trained with the Atlantic Theater Company Acting School. His favorite hobby is to strap on the tank and go SCUBA diving. Having traveled all over the Carribbean, and as far as Fiji, Ryan always takes his DiveBuddy Underwater Camera with him, and has cut together various music videos of ocean life. It is his aspiration to one day have a Masters Degree in Oceanography.

Creating work is one of his favorite parts of the business. His self-produced directing debut of Of Mice and Men at NYU had the largest margin of profit ever in a student produced show. Last summer, he produced and directed a short film promo for his third feature length screenplay, "Loose-Fish," that features Francesco Quinn (Platoon, "24") and Chris Bauer ("The Wire," *61, Neil Cassidy, 8MM). The trailer took home "Best First Time Director" at the Venice Beach Free World Film Festival. He has had the pleasure of working with talented and well respected actors: Steve Buscemi, Oliver Platt, Rita Wilson, Paul Dano, Chris Bauer, Francesco Quinn, Josh Pais, and Brian Charles Johnson, as well as directors Chad Lowe, and Jeremiah Chechik in his young career.

As a writer, he has completed three featurelength screenplays, two plays, a tv pilot, and various short stories.
